Default Will this work??

I want to get an aftermarket pioneer head unit, but I would like to know if we can still use the cable that comes with our stock head unit for the I-pod connection. Basicaly, i need to know if the chord that is connected on the back of our stock head unit will connect to any of the new pioneer head units. Thanks in advance.

i recently installed a new pioneer hu and was wondering the same thing, i found out that the ipod and aux input wires are part of a 20-pin connecter that plugs in the back of the stock hu

You sure there is no way you could splice the wire if you had the pin outs? Seems like if you knew that..that the whole dock thing would be usable.

IDK..I'm not too electrical savy though but I know that is a lot of work to mess with too.
