Default Windshield Defroster Rattle

I have a bad rattle in my dash and I finally figured out that it was the vent for my windshield defroster. I can't find any pics or video of anyone removing the entire dash. Has anyone else had this problem or has some advice on removing the dash to get to this rattle? Thanks for any help, it is driving me crazy! I have a 06 if that matters in any way.

so are you sure it's windshield defroster rattle. It sounds like it's from up there--

I figured out it actually might be coming from my hood. 2 things:
-weighted down the windshield fluid lines behind the fibreglass insulation under hood with a blue-shop-towel-tear-off and a zip tie to hold it on (made 5 or so). Be careful sticking your hand back there! It's fibreglass! itchy-scratchy! use one of those yellow latex gloves that goes past your wrist.
-wrapped front hood loop thing that hook grabs onto with 22awg solid core copper wire. This tighted up the latching mechanism, transfers harmonic vibrations I was getting in the hood (was loose just a little bit and could wiggle up / down 1mm or so) to the latch mechanism, basically dampens it all out.

I'll try to post a picture of these later

Bout to road trip and couldn't be happier. I used to get pretty loud rattle/vibrations while driving over older pavement on the highway. So far, no more!!!

make sure you wrap high enough up on both sides so that the hook doesn't catch and cut the wire, that happened to me.

This is temporary solution while I replicate with some steel or iron wiring or something.
