Im still saying go with the xB, save up your money for the tC, and who who knows, you may like it better!

Just wondrin', have you ever consider fixing your credit? before I bought my tC, I have been planning for it and I spent almost nine months to repair my own credit. My FICO went from 590+ to 700+ now. It's a long and difficult journey, but it's all worth it in the end. Save me a tons of grief in finding a good deal. If interested, here is the resource that I use: www.creditboards.com Spend at least a few nights searching through the forum. Most the credit problem that you have might be solved by another forumer already.[/quote]

i have been working on my credit for the last few months. my problem is mostly with student loans that were bought and resold to another co., so my credit report looks like i have a bunch of loans out when i really dont. i also deferred the loans for a couple of years after college and that got me into trouble because i didnt think they would be listed as late payments. also, i was expecting to pay off the last of the loans by the end of this year but the car im drivin broke down and i need transportation for work now.

another thing i actually have 10,000 in cash from my savings for the car and im borrowing the 4,500 from a family friend. i expect to pay back within the next year

Why are your student loan deferrals listed as late payments? I don't think that's correct. One reason people defer, other than being in school, is to avoid the pitfall of not being able to pay. Sounds like you're getting seriously screwed over. You probably need to find someone who can help you sort the whole thing out--something doesn't quite seem right.

FCRA dictates that the same loan/account/listing can be reported only once in your credit report. I used to have a credit card charge off reported multiples time by THREE collection agencies. I disputed it as "not mine" and they were all removed. Instance boost for my score and confident. For those "hard to clean" baddies, you can request validation from the collection agency. There are many validation letter templates that you can use in that forum. Good Luck!

i would like to thank everyone 4 the advice given. here's what happened the past 2 weeks. I took the advice of one of the posters and tried to have some of the listings on my credit report removed. it turns out that my credit rating wasnt as bad a i thought 628. not the best but not the worst either. after the duplicate listings are removed it should be a lot higher.
ive also been working crazy overtime to get down my studen loan. it should be paid off by the end of this year.
unfortunatly my car is dead. i did howerver purchase the 04 corolla s and i love it . nothing beats the tc and im still hoping to get it late next year but im really enjoying the corolla. i was so unhappy the first day i purchased it because i didnt get what i wanted, but after driving it home and for the past week i have to say im in love. and im very grateful that i didnt have to go through a whole lot of drama of being without a car for work.
