Their net worth before they died was a little over 65 million. My family is rich but I am not so fortunate. My dad divorced my mom when I was 2. She remarried and I have never had anything given to me. I have always been taught to work hard for it.
2. I was given the tc as a gift from my grandparents so I am not goin get rid of it for no reason. I like this car and want to find out what potential it has. Anybody can get a RWD car and be fast.
3. I am not just goin to ____ away my grandparents hard earned money. I am already looking at investing most of it and profiting off of it. THat is what they would have wanted me to do with it.
I am sorry if all of you think I am some spoiled rich kid who has no clue what he is talking about or think I am lying out my butt. Yes I would love to get a 35000 dollar evo and drop another 10 in it and make it a beast but that would be the stupidest thing I could do with this money. It would be like spitting in the face of my grandparents.
I just came on here to find out some good advice on some parts for my car. I didn't have full intentions on blowing 10 on my car. It was just a figure.
Again things just don't add up.

65 million dollars and you get 60,000 grand?

Divide 60,000 by 65,000,000...and thats the percent of money you received out of that 65 million...

You're family is rich and you're not so fortunate? You're not making any sense.

this was just one stock that my family cashed in... the stock has to be split 15 ways in my family for everybody not just me....
And to the other guy.. Yes I would love to drive an evo or some expensive car. but I am only 19. I don't get that money til I am 35. SO for a while I have to save and invest my earnings wisely.
My dad's side of the family is rich. He lives in florida and I live in Columbus, MS. He sends my mom a welfare check every week for us. I have never had the priviledge of being on that side of the family. That is why I say that I am not so fortunate..

Invest Invest Invest

Most rich people in the US do NOT spend their money. That's how they stay rich. There's a book out in the world titled something like "the millionaire next door" which did a statistical study on people in the US with net worths of $1.5 mil or more. Most of the weatlhy do NOTseem wealthy. They live frugally - not miserly but frugally. They don't buy more than they need. They use and keep things until they wear out. Their houses are small and located in much poorer neighborhoods than their net worth would indicate. They dress in simple and classic clothes. etc.

If you're only 19 this would be a great chance to learn the about the stock markets, mutual funds, and the general investment landscape.

Hmm if you're feeling kind, you might ask your mom (aunt / uncle?) if they need any financial help with their mortgage or something.

Of course, you could also just spend it on bling, hookers, and blow.

If your parents divorced, doesn't your mom get half the money?

The millionaire next door is a decent book, I wouldn't praise it though because it does give the wrong idea.

The book tells you to live within or below your means, instead of telling you or advising you to EXPAND your means.

And it depends what sort of "rich" person you're talking about...netting 1.5 mill is nice but living below your means instead of trying to expand it gets you no where but security.

Man it seems like the way some people on here are wording the situation...if ur fam got dough, then you have dough. So not true.

I am not on here to brag, but to agree with cash_man...my father is a Orthopaedic surgeon...whenever people here that...they think "that boi B got dough man"....No. I work for my money. 25hrs a week and a full-time college student. My peeps may have a half mil house with 2 BMW's, but my dad came from nothing. So he teaches me what he taught himself to do.

So of course im not pointing any fingers, I just think that maybe some folks here should listen to Cash_man a lil before we make any judgements.

BESIDES all that, lol I'd suggest some basic performances items...like an intake, headers, exhaust...whatever tickles your fancy. Maybe you can make it look nice. But like some other people stated, its what you'd prefer...Power or Looks.

Good security system, window tint, better tires, exhaust, nice stereo set up. Maybe 3 sets of wheels and tires you know summer/winter/track, if you do the track thing. Maybe some foglights VRD's look nice and you got the dough so why not.

Okay, first off I will take the benefit of the doubt that what you are saying is true.

1) Stop flaunting, I know you don't mean to. No-one needs to know your financial situation, and frankly no-one cares that you are inheriting a lot. If someone asks where you got 10K from, your a lucky son of a ....
2) Your 19, you have to think about COLLEGE! Even though you may inherit a bunch at age 35, you need to GET to age 35. And though this may sound odd, but 3 million is not a lot when you consider living expenses from age 35 to age 85. Throw in a family and you could burn that amount easily.
3) A financial adviser once told me, "sure, you can invest yourself, research the stocks/bonds and do quite well, but at that point you WILL BE a financial adviser yourself. Take your money, and give it to someone that will take care of it, at this point 60K will pay for maybe three years of a top tier EDUCATION. Then with that education live the life you want, like an engineer, or a manager, or whatever.
4) If you are looking to live up to your grandparents code, then you should invest in education to begin with, maybe get a degree and become a top tier financial adviser.

All that said, to blow $10k on a car is quite a bit, I doubt you have any intentions of doing that. Your comment on 'anybody can make a RWD fast' is a bunch of crap, its not so much as the car thats important, but the driver. I have a tC and a 1986 Mazda RX7. I will say hands down to drive the RX7 over the tC because its a challenge at the Autocross. No power steering, no ABS, no fancy traction or stability control. I have to DRIVE that car with no help from modern technology. Thats where the real fun of driving is, in my opinion. My recommendation then would be to keep the tC stock, find an old fun car (preferably an RX7), and do all the work yourself to make it your own. Doing this makes the car yours, gives you a better understanding of your car, and gives you a much better appreciation for your car.

Either way, bear in mind that adding intensive power mods will destroy the life of your motor. Sure, it may last 3 years, but that fourth year it will be screaming for a rebuild.

Your money is your money. However you want to spend it is up to you. There was too much to read so I don't know what you have, and I think I remember you saying you don't want a turbo. So see below, if you already have the part I listed, my bad.

AEM intake
DC Sports Headers
Unorthodox Pulley Kit
Magnaflow Exhaust
DC Sports Front Strut Bar
Greddy Rear Strut Tower
Hotchkis Suspension
Rims and Tires
Greddy ECU
Kaminari Body Kit w/o the wing
Carbon Fiber Hood
HID Headlights
LED Taillights
Pioneer Navigation System
Optima Yellow Top Battery
New Down Pipe
Sport Racing Pedels
MOMO leather shift ****...

Things like that
