is there really no easier way to get the cover off the mirror? i would like to do this but i dont wanna tear it apart

 

I think the mirror comes apart easily, but you have to take the lens off to get to the LEDs. Sounds like the lens removal and replacement is the hardest part (if you are comfortable with soldering.)

 

The painted part of the mirror just pulls off. Its held on by clips. The hard part is getting to the LEDs without destroying the light housing. Its two pieces of plastic bonded together that I used a drememl to cut apart. Soldereing is pretty basic and then I used silicone to glue the housing back together. If I had to do this again, it would take less than an hour to do both sides.

great mod tho....if only it was as easy as changing my headlights....
since ur so experienced, u think u'll be able to take out the orange part out of the headlights? that would make the lighting of ur tc perfect!

Im waiting on that, but I did order the bluebatmobile overlays and I just unplugged the bulbs from the sockets so they dont light up at all.

 

taking out the headlights shouldn't be hard. its finding a white piece of reflector material to replace the orange with thats difficult. does anybody know where i can find a white reflector, like how clearcorners did to theirs?

how did the turnsignals turn on with the lights?...wwere u pressing the unlockbutton on key?
