Default *End of The Line for tC* Issues with my tC (Please Vote) :(

I was wondering if anyone has noticed any of these issues with the tC, some I think have been mentioned.. and one I will point out in a moment looks like an issues even with brand new ones on the dealership lot.

Alarm goes off while driving.
Alarm wont engage
Windows will not roll down (not all the time)
Press lock button and car locks then unlocks (let me detail 06/23 this is while your sitting in the car, with key in ignition)
Rattles from moonroof when closing (this is with car sitting idle)
Car vibrates in drive when sitting at stop light/stop sign
A/C Vents on dash are warping and coming loose from dash.
Trim around gauge cluster is coming loose from dash
A-pillar is bubbling up
Headlights dont turn off when you get out of car and car is off (doesnt happen all the time)
Car loses all power a random times (not while driving yet)
Loss of all lights on passenger side whil driving
Stereo powers down on its own
Hatch rattles all the time
Gap between body of car, and hatch glass and metal is alot wider on driver side than on passenger side (as in I can see where the seal makes contact with the metal on one side and cant see anything on the other side.
Bumper is coming loose under passenger headlight.
Car makes odd popping noises when taking turns at highspeeds
Rust appearing on backseat hinges (the ones under the cover when you fold the seat down.. the hindges that allow you to fold the seat.
Hatch wont open sometimes, no matter how many times you lock and unlock the car.
Trim around hatch and backside windows is coming loose
Trim thread on back seat and passenger seat is coming loose from seat..
Emergency Brake is really freakin loose, I can wiggle it all over the place.
Strange rattle/whine from dash right over center A/C vents.. stops if you press down on dash right above the vent.

I confirmed by checking with the dealer and looking at a RS 1.0 tC that the issue with the vents coming loose is common and the gauge trim... 4 of the new ones on the lot have this same issue, though they dont have any fixes for it.... anyway any help would be welcomed... the car has an appointment next week to be looked at... the dealer admitts some of the issues I have reported have been reported before.... I think its possible while the drivetrain for the tC is fine.. the interior and body needed to cook in the ol research oven just a tad longer... and my tC only has 11,000 miles on her.

Thanks,
RaVen

I think the dealer can fix that one with the moonroof... yeah as long as the dealer fixes all these issues that they can I am fine with it... *knocks on wood* the engine is doing great, strong and purrs like kitten the drivetrain is my main concern... I can live with interior issues that the dealer has to fix.. its when the drivetrain has issues that I get worried..

Oh and I got my tC on Oct 21st 2004 waited 4 months for that car

yes it has alllll of those problems... thats the odd part.. the electrical ones are random and dont happen all the time... dealer is not sure what is causing it.. could be one thing messing with the whole system they will have to look at the car..

maybe it's a loose connection somewhere, being that it happens randomly

do u have any extra electronics ie: subs n stuff? anything custom electrical wise? not to say its your fault or anything, just curious. i had a civic with random electrical issues, but that was my fault after a VERY poor attempt at installing an xbox and flatscreen while intoxicated. did u know xbox's are flamable? haha. that was back in my ricer days tho. im much better now.

I am gonna see what the dealer says when I have to take it in next week, if they dont fix all the issues, I will contact scion corp see what they say. I will also check with one of our local lawyers about this if need be.. its possible she might be a lemon, she is from the early batches of the tC's considering when the car was made and when it finally got to me.. shows somewhere it sat for over a month and a half... either way.. scion or a lawyer will get this cleared up.. but they cant have my tC they will just have to fix every lil thing on her because she is mine.. no way am I giving up my tC... she might have issues.. but she is mine :D *hugz his strange tC* I know that was dumb.. but eh... its a tC hehe

the rattling by the sun roof is pretty common if you look at the front corners theres a screw and if you look close theres another screw right below that one, that one has been known to come lose and cause rattling.....

under lemon law, they either pay you for your car, or you get another EXACT tC..

I would rather them just fix my car.. if that means they have to put me in a loaner for a month and do a full rework so be it.. but they are not getting my car... they will just have to fix her.. as I said... MINE :D

My tC is at 10k now.

I've had the following problems, and I am working with--actually, fighting with--my local dealership to get them fixed:

A-pillar is bubbling up - Fixed, on their THIRD try

Headlights dont turn off when you get out of car and car is off (doesnt happen all the time) -sometimes all my lights stay on even after I have removed the key from the ignition.

Trim around gauge cluster is coming loose from dash - My dealership swears 'all tC's are like mine,' but mine has to be a good 16th of an inch lower on the left than the right. Not much, but you can tell it's off by looking at the seams.

My dash trim--the silver part--is coming loose and starting to rattle. It shouldn't be a problem after my dealership replaces that ENTIRE part of the dash, since they can't seem to control their screwdrivers while performing installs.

WTF? 4k and, thank god, no problems at all. Not one of the problems anyone has mentioned on this forum. And my car was stripped for audio install. You would thiink something would rattle.............Nothing, silent. The car you got is a POS. If they don't fix it you got lemon law forms to fill out.
