*End of The Line for tC* Issues with my tC (Please Vote) :(
You do have to completely leave out the electrical issues, as they were caused by faulty alarm installation. That had nothing to do with Scion.
I dont think it was getting it too early. I bought mine in Oct and have none of the issues.

scion considers the alarm thing their fault because it was done before i even purchased the car... infact on my papers when i purchased it, it says "scion security alarm (to be installed by dealer)" that turned into scion alarm installed by someone else they got to do it... this was a major issue with the car and since they did it before i purchased it they are also seeing it as on their hands.... scion corp never called me tuesday.. i called them wed and they are to be calling me today they said, but have yet to hear anything.. got car back from dealer about scratches.. its worse... nothing was resolved cept one on the hood.. and they burnt the paint when they buffed it, now my car has a spot on the hood where the metal is exposed (looks like someone rubbed the paint off the car really hard) anyway I am still giving scion corp a chance.. what do I want? they can have the P.O.S. back.. let me outta it.. i will go get another brand
I feel for you man. This whole situation sucks. The dealership sounds kinda fishy tho.
The only problem I have with my tc is the popping noise from the roof. other than that everyting is fine. I had other noise but it was a quick fix. Glove box noise was my wheel lock key and the truck thump was my spare tire (just tighten it).
btw. I got the tc on the first month it came out last year.

Sounds like nothing major actually wrong with the car. The dealer and their choice of subcontractors on the other hand... awful.
I though people knew to expect more-than-average numbers of problems on cars in their first model year... I mean take a look at this: 2000 Focus And those are just the problems for the debut year-- Ford didn't fix 'em all, and 2001-2004 look pretty similar.
The upside to any downside is that it could always be worse.

true but do you expect body warping in the first yr of a model? and does that mean since all new cars have issues.. that since mine has a crap load of them I should ask that they take it off my hands? i am a very very displeased customer..... apparently my thinking is right because the lawyer and the arkansas lemon law seems to apply here from what we understand.. and it seems scion does think my car has had more issues than normal for a 1st yr.. or any car should so soon so often so over and over again... i rank the electrical and body twist as the worst... so yes something aweful that ruins my cars driving style and value..
My friend had a similar list of problems with a Lincoln Navigator and was told by the dealership that the lemon law only applies if it is the same problem 3 times
However the problem was the electronic "brain" causing at least 3 problems INSTANT LEMON
I have 26,000 miles on my tc and am very happy despite the abs panels coming a little loosearound the light .
Sorry for your bad experience

I just got my tC less than a week ago and have noticed a rattle but have not isolated the source. Also a couple of times the car hasnt beeped at me to buckle my seat belt when I start the car (not that that really bothers me). But it is running flawlessly so far. Now that I read all of your problems I am freaked and hope they dont start appearing or worse I start to imagine them.
just keep an eye on your car, enjoy it, and if you notice anything have the dealer look at it.. i dont think all tC's are like mine.... i just got the dud
doesnt mean yours is but good luck and enjoy :D
There are lemon laws in California, at least.
If you're really having that many problems with your tC, you need to
1. Call the number in my sig
2. Write a letter to Toyota
3. Have your tC replaced with one that isn't defective.
There is no reason for your car to be falling apart this soon in the game. Scion Customer Service has been great to me, and they will work with you to get everything to your satisfaction.

Alarm goes off while driving.
Alarm wont engage
Windows will not roll down (not all the time)
Press lock button and car locks then unlocks (let me detail 06/23 this is while your sitting in the car, with key in ignition)
Rattles from moonroof when closing (this is with car sitting idle)
Car vibrates in drive when sitting at stop light/stop sign
A/C Vents on dash are warping and coming loose from dash.
Trim around gauge cluster is coming loose from dash
A-pillar is bubbling up
Headlights dont turn off when you get out of car and car is off (doesnt happen all the time)
Car loses all power a random times (not while driving yet)
Loss of all lights on passenger side whil driving
Stereo powers down on its own
Hatch rattles all the time
Gap between body of car, and hatch glass and metal is alot wider on driver side than on passenger side (as in I can see where the seal makes contact with the metal on one side and cant see anything on the other side.
Bumper is coming loose under passenger headlight.
Car makes odd popping noises when taking turns at highspeeds
Rust appearing on backseat hinges (the ones under the cover when you fold the seat down.. the hindges that allow you to fold the seat.
Hatch wont open sometimes, no matter how many times you lock and unlock the car.
Trim around hatch and backside windows is coming loose
Trim thread on back seat and passenger seat is coming loose from seat..
Emergency Brake is really freakin loose, I can wiggle it all over the place.
Strange rattle/whine from dash right over center A/C vents.. stops if you press down on dash right above the vent.
I confirmed by checking with the dealer and looking at a RS 1.0 tC that the issue with the vents coming loose is common and the gauge trim... 4 of the new ones on the lot have this same issue, though they dont have any fixes for it.... anyway any help would be welcomed... the car has an appointment next week to be looked at... the dealer admitts some of the issues I have reported have been reported before.... I think its possible while the drivetrain for the tC is fine.. the interior and body needed to cook in the ol research oven just a tad longer... and my tC only has 11,000 miles on her.
Thanks,
RaVen

I had the same problem, first i thought it was coming from the stereo, but then i had to take the car to 2 3 different dealerships and i got it fixed, turned out that the rubber or whatever they are putting in there to keep them tight was loose and it was making all that squeeky sound.
Also the back panel fall off once, while i was driving with some chicks
it was embarrassing she said " your car is falling apart ", but then they fixed it too.
The steering wheel is vibrating when i am making a U-Turn, they said it might be because that there was something on the road. and they couldn't find anything and we did couple U-Turns with the mechanic and it didn't happen so i was convinced but then it started again couple days ago. but i am guessing this time it is because that i am running on a spare tire. I am gonna have to wait til i get my new rim and new tire and then see if it happens again.
btw i have a RS 1.0 too
so i guess it is not limited edition it is defected edition
