Default {help} Is it safe to mount my HID ballast here?!

Hey guys. i just the mobile HID kit in the mail today. I went to install it and I wanted to install it somewhere you wouldnt see it.

I opted out to install it by the radiator support. I was wondering what this "black box" thing does? Is it safe to mount my ballast right above it? There are 2 of them.....one on both sides.

Its the black box right below my ballast. Is it the airbag sensor? I hope not.
I loosened it so I could tuck the metal tab behind it; and then I retightened it. IS THAT SAFE?!

you should be alright, as long as you dont crash. jk, you're alright putting it there. i think the sensor works at the angle the car is in with relation to the ground. for example, if you were to run your car off a cliff, the airbags would go off because that sensor is telling the ecu that the car was angled straight down at the time of impact. i think thats how those there work. dont take my word for it though.

It should be fine.....if airbags did not go off when you removed it and have not gone off after install then you are good..........good then to remember is to remove battery cables before starting work on electrical side of car.......that way nothing is in standby and working..........

Good spot to put them till you are on adark road and your lights go out..........JK.........
