Default 07 feels more solid than 06

I have an 06. I just had a loaner 07 for a couple of days. The doors are noticably heavier and sounds much more solid when closing.

Did they remodel something with the doors in the 07? I really liked it!

Have you compared them to the 07? They felt heavier and more solid to me than the 06. It obviously doesn't mean anything to you if you haven't compared it. its all a comparison.

I'm wondering if they modified it a bit for the 07...i'd be willing to bet on it, even if they didn't tell the public

It's just newer so it feels "better."

I have not compared to a '06 so I wouldn't be able to tell you...but being heaver isn't attractive haha...

mine are too heavy! but the one reason I like the tC so much is because the doors are high/tall, and I feel like I'm in a big car like a Caddy, lol.

I heard a long time ago that car manufacturers spend a lot of time making the doors feel "solid" in order to make you think the whole car is solid. I guess it's still true.

Well who knows. Maybe that one particular car had stiff hinges! lol Maybe mine are loose for that matter.
