2 dumbass questions. help!
I would like to keep this "dumbass question" post going by asking about the oil change part. What if your at the 15k mark and you go on without the
BG Autotransmission Conditioner
BG MOA oil additive
BG 44k Fuel System Cleaner
Will this have bad effects?
I'm approximately 1000 miles over it, got the oil change and
tire rotation though, those were free but not the above so, opted out.

I dont know if it will have adverse affects. But it can be a problem when going for warranty work.
If you have a problem with something and they can prove that maintenance wasnt done, they could turn it into owner neglect on maintenance. Kinda like the engine blowing at 30,000 miles because you never changed the oil.

You're fine, but when I break-in a new engine, I've already changed mine 3x by 5000 miles!
There's lot's of great info here: "Bob Is The Oil Guy"
Adding all the junk that "prettyniceb" suggests is a waste of money and no needed (sorry PNB)
Modern oils have all the additives you need - unless you're using your vehicle in SEVERE conditions under SEVERE loads.
You're OK. But I strongly suggest looking out for your oil/filter better in the future - not only do you have three free changes, but Iffy Lube often has specials for $19.95 - and they top-off your other fluids too.
As for parking and the e-brake, simple:
Parking facing uphill:
E-brake on, 1st gear, tires turned left.
Parking facing downhill:
E-brake on, reverse gear, tires turned right.
Autos always use Park.
Tires as above.
E-brake on.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^you saying you had your oil changed three times before 5000 made me think of my mom.
she bought the new civic, and the saleslady said don't get the oil changed for AT LEAST 4500 miles. some one should have a talk with that woman.

i usually just pull the ebrake when i park, unless i know that the car has any chance of rolling, then i will put it in gear. if it will roll forward, i put it in reverse. if it will roll backwards, i put it in 1st. (i usually only have to park on totally flat surfaces)
i used to use the ebrake on my old car also, it was an automatic. i figure that it's better to stress the ebrake than the tranny. it became habit, i used it whenever i parked. it was nice on hill parkings, because it wouldn't bump the tranny around when pulling it out of park. i think i learned this by watching my dad do it for years. i wish my girlfriend would do it, her shifter linkage is so sloppy as it is and she parks her car on a hill every night and it thumps loud when she pulls it out of park on the hill.
also, one time i parked and saw a movie, when i came back to my car, i got in, when both of us got in the car, it started to slowly lurch forward. the ebrake was on, but not all the way on and i was on a pretty steep hill. that could have been really bad if the ebrake cable or pads gave way and my car rolled into another one!! i now park with it in gear and ebrake when on a hill for sure!

Just want to add my .02.
Oil Change: Look under your hood, it says oil changes more than 3,000 miles. Even my 91 mr2 says oil changes are only needed around 5,000 miles, 92 celica says 5000+, and my old celica all-trac turbo, a more high performance engine said 3750 between oil changes. Unless you do a lot of racing, towing, or heavy duty driving, you won't need the 3,000. The 3,000 miles is a "myth". They get more money if you bring your car in 4 times a year instead of 2. It WILL NOT hurt your car unless the oil is some no name brand or is not the right application for your vehicle.
Also, for gear in park. Give me a break, it's going to hurt your transmission? Always use both especially on an incline. "I would rather pay for a new e-brake than a transmission" is blown out of proportion. Sure, the million times you park it in gear might wear the tranny out 50 miles in it's lifetime. "I'd rather break my tranny knowing my car is in gear in an incline rather than pay for my car damage and hitting another car or possibly hurting someone"
Not trying to flame anyone, just want to get my opinions out
