Alright so i have had this car for only a week and when i got it i went ahead and filled up the tank. When i did i reset trip A so i could see how many miles i would get on a full tank. Here i am today and my gas light is on and i have only driven 215 miles. So if you do the math 14-15 tank 215 miles im only getting 13-14 miles a gallon. This doesnt seem right. What should i do?

 

How many gallons did you get when you refilled, because I think there is a few gallons left when the gas light comes on? How many miles does the csr have? But there's a few things you can do to mater sure you get the best possible gas mileage, few that come to mind are
-drive moderately
-make sure your brakes are good
-higher octane gas
-fluid levels

Seafoaming my tc, and getting new spark plugs helped mine too

 

you need to fill the tank until the pump auto shutoff, then divide the amount of gas that you just put in from number from miles driven.

the tank holds 14.5 gal but it's hardly pumped dry when that light comes on.

 

ok so here's one for you, I fill up and at half of a tank, I have 300 miles on my trip indicator, how many miles to the gallon am I getting?
so divide 14.5 by 2 =7.25
divide 300 miles by 7.25= 41.4 miles per gallon, any one getting this kind of mileage?

 

My 06 tc with TRD s/c and bolt ons and a e351 transmission from a Camry has gotten 34mpg hwy driving never seeing boost. But under day to day driving and some boosting I only get 18mpg average
