Default 2007 TC Tensioner Issue Related to Engine Bay AC Rattles

I just got back from the Toyota dealership where I had some warranty work done.

2007 TC
29,000 Miles
No Mods

The Issue - When the AC was turned on I would hear a clunk noise from the compressor and a constant faint rattle while pulling off until the car was warmed up.

The Fix - They replaced the Tensioner that was attached to the belt that ran around the AC compressor. Tensioner ASSY Part 16620-28012

The technician said that mine wore out way to early and that part of the 07 engine redesign was the tensioner for the 07 Camry engine because the prior Camry engine had a tensioner that leaked because it was hydraulically controlled. He could not explain why mine had failed and was puzzled because this issue was supposed to be fixed.

2nd Issue - Loud Rattle from under car when engine was cold.

The Fix - Technician found a loose screw in one of the shields and tightened it.

I'm having the same issue with my car now and i brought it to my local dealer and they said that mine is messed up because i have aftermarket pulleys and belts. Could that have caused it to go bad? It was fine before. I have an 07 with 35K miles.

Only thing that sucks is that I have aftermarket pulleys and belt so they might try and get me for that. I'm hoping cause I work for them they might help me out
