350z's are very very hard to turbo and aren't nearly as easy as the tc

i'm a bit confused by this question too.

sounds like you have too much money. unless you are planning to trade in vs turbo.

If you want an all around handling sports car for a decent price, the 350 is hard to beat.

i was thinkin this too, do i want a turbo tC, or a NA 350z... then i thought about the 07 STI and was like... turbo and AWD its a no brainer, so im paying my tC off this summer (or trying) then either keeping it and getting an sti or trading it in and getting the sti. or keeping and modding the **** outta it

I like the 350. But as mentioned, those are not all that fast either. Hopefully you don't buy one then get disappointed like you are with the tC.

The 07's are taking well to mods. A lot better than their previous incarnations did.

Of course if you're in that price range, there're still a few SE / SE MR Evo IX's available :p

I am in the same boat as the OP and davedavetc.

Either I'm going to save up for the turbo for the tC or just save up and get the Z which is most likely my direction.

The thing is, the Z is going to get redesigned soon since the body model has been out since 2003. It is supposedly getting the 330hp engine for the 2009 model so I am thinking about even waiting for that.

Right now, the 2007 Z's are pretty damn fast. There is a video on youtube of someone running a stock 2007 350z at 13.45...thats damn near the range of a 335i.

That's pretty damn fast.

The pre-2007 models were a bit slower yeah, but the new 2007 models are faster.

Then again with the new WRX STi's coming out...but that's probably going to be out of my price range (well over 30k).

If Nissan keeps their price of the just under 30k then I would most likely head in that direction.

I want the 2007 Z...but if the new body models are due out soon then I'll wait. However, there are reports of the new body coming out in 2011 too...so many variables. However, the 330hp engine is supposedly "known" that it will be in the Z in 2009...and thats enough time to save up.
