have you been in a accident? or did you put a quick release steering wheel? I'm just thinking of why it would come on...

Check airbag connection wires under the seat too... Never know what part of it may have come apart.

From the Owner's Manual - when the SRS warning light comes on: "Take vehicle to Scion dealer immediately."

There's a problem with one or more of your airbags, meaning they won't deploy in a wreck. I wouldn't mess around with this, just get it to the dealer - tomorrow.

dealer is the best idea, if you dont have time.. disconnect battery for 15 mins (remember you will need to reset your power windows and sunroof)

I did remote starts and alarms and when we hit something that threw on that light 99% of the time disconnecting battery would reset the light.

That happened to my car yesterday, I got far away from the airbags just incase it would come out. My b/f turn the car off while still moving and turned it back on after 1 minute and it went away. I had already 2 accident hitting my door and it never came out. three weeks ago I had another one but it never hit anything only my rims and tires got messed up but the bags didnt came out. I think you should do what Im going to do take it to the dealer.

yeah i just came back from the dealership.
it was $88, but since it's still brand new, 6k miles, the basic warranty covered it.
the guy said it was probably the passenger seat being pushed back to hard and loosened something or whatever, i did have friends in my car last night so someone was probably too rough, dumb asses.

Mine came on after about 4000 miles, took it to the dealer and they gave a one time courtesy reset. Said that a hard speed bump or chuck hole will turn them on. It is usually 90 bucks to reset the occupancy sensors.
