My badass corolla rental had them also. Its hard to create a good looking climate control, the dials I think fail

 

My god, I had a Corolla CE as a rental car when my tC was in for some warranty work, holy god was that thing just straight up terrible.

 

The steering wheel you can spy in the teaser shots.

It looks like they're shifting towards the Honda-esque trend. I think that steering wheel looks hideous.

Looks interesting.. So right now we know that the new tC (is it even still a tC?) has 8 speakers and a moonroof?

I will be attempting to get the latest videos for next week, starting sometime Monday night (assuming Scion marketing doesn't catch on). Next weeks videos are all stubs and do not have anything interesting in them yet.

 

I dig through the site the other day and theres placeholders for iQ AND tC in the guts

Very excited to see this car. Hope they please as many people as possible with the new designs. Scion owners CAN be very loyal. As long as we are rewarded with sticking with this brand..

 

^This. My biggest hope is that the suspension is the same, since I just got my coilovers...

The events have already been set in motion...you are too late.

 

I know, right? They destroyed the one car that defined their brand in it's inception, the xB1, that's the car they should have kept without a doubt, it was a huge risk ridding themselves of that car and form factor. I do not believe they succeeded in any way. The xA was however vastly improved by becoming the xD in my opinion, but I'm still not a fan of either.

The xB1 has it's place in my heart as something definitively Scion, the xA, xD and xB2 just feel like cars holding on to the success of the xB1 and the tC.

They already seem to be messing it up with the downgraded interior so far in these images, I hope the styling isn't all messed up and weird like the 2011 xB2, which is a hideous monstrosity, it's sad seeing this ship sink.. fail boat, all aboard...

I hope the new tC redeems the brand some how, but I'm not too incredibly excited to see what Scion, a company that has failed to produce refreshed and attractive cars thinks is better than their star car, the tC.

Of the stuff I've seen so far in the teasers:
I like the traction control
the 'improved' stereo so far
the fact that they are keeping the panoramic moon roof
the new wheels look great too

but the side profile of that headlight is weird and so is are the fugly cheap ***** for the HVAC compared to our nice button system, it was obvious the tC was the highest end car of the bunch when it was released with things like mirror mounted turn signals, power above double digits and a much improved interior, including a leather wrapped steering wheel and auto up/down windows on both sides, the moon roof, the HVAC controls, and little things like that. I thought the Fuse concept was hideous, same as I thought the t2B was hideous, they brought the t2B to market.. and it sounds like the Fuse is coming too... sigh.

I hate that it's too late for this.. ugh.. I suspect they'll come even before the new car is launched.. if the car is dramatically different from the current tC, I can only hope ScionLife splits it into tC1 and tC2.

I pulled these right off the sciondimension.com website. Looks like we're still getting projector headlights, and some nice ones from the looks of it. Also the headlights and grill seem like they're going to be taking on a Corolla styling with the way they're shaped. And that bulge under the headlights makes me believe we'll get something like on the newly styled xB2.2. That's also the new "Cement" color in the pictures which looks like they might be yanking either the Grey off the RS4.0 tC or what I'm thinking is steeling another color away from the xA, as it looks pretty similar. Only time will tell.

I like the color alot. And so far from that video it looks like the front will still remind people of the old gen tc. Idk I'm excited to see this for sure. Teasers FML
