I'm kinda glad it still has some of the current tC's lines. Keeps it simple.

 

the projector you get a glimpse of looks almost exactly like the one on the xB2.2 i saw elsewhere. and it looks like theres a fancy ring around the projector for stock halos.
could be wrong though and its just a decorative ring.

If it happens it will be the biggest displacement 4 cylinder ive ever seen squeezed into a sport compact. I think it will be powerful... how wont it? It will at least have 187 hp, 186 tq and the car is probably gonna weigh in at little over 3k. Could run high 14s stock.

 

even if it makes 180 both ways...for 2.6 or 2.7 liters, thats not very efficient.

Yea thats why Im hoping they make a specifically tuned 2.7 for the tC like they did with our current 2AZ. In the press release I posted the Scion VP said it should have 200hp. ...but Im not gonna hold my breath.

 

200 hp on a 2.6 or 2.7 is horrible.

 

Iono...if I wanted a bigger engine, I would just buy a stroker kit lulz.

yea...scion is already telling us they didnt do crap to the new version. Look at the crap they are revealing. The last two days were useless, new color (yellow/gold) and Aux port......I dont give a fly poo about those two things.

 

well like i said before I have no desire for the new one, I just want to see what it looks like. Then when my dealer gets one i will go test drive just to see what it is like but thats it.

 

Really? As long as the compression ratio is low enough to boost, I wouldn't say its that bad.

2.6 or 2.7 is along the line of what toyota makes. The first gen is300 with a 3.0 engine makes barely anything. The only toyota engine worth mentioning is the 2JZ.

 

^^yea dont know what that is going to be like, but when Im ready to buy a new car, I will be stepping up to something better. I don't really want to get a new car that just has a few new features but is pretty much the same thing.

If it even does make a true 200whp, thats only about 74 HP per liter, while a stock K series RSX-S is getting 90 hp per liter on a 2.0.

Just my point of view. If the motor is like the current 2AZ and responds great to boost, then more to them. I just don't view the tC as something Scion designed to really perform. I mean, look at the current one. It has a soft suspension and a motor that is supposed to be fuel efficient but gets horrible mileage. But again, this is just my point of view. Toyota made the Scion line for one point, and that point is to give teenagers a car they want that they can make look pretty, and they did a damn good job doing so.
