Default Am I too old?

I really like the new tC. Very cool car, great standard features and a GREAT price! Problem is, I have been reading all this marketing info and checking out the website and I feel like I am too old for this car...not that this is the deciding factor or anything! I've got two kids (ages 1 and 4). I have a Saturn VUE for the wife, so I can get pretty much whatever I want for myself. I'm about to turn 27...so I get that feeling that I'm really pushing 30 now. Both of the other Scion models seem like they are meant for high school kids only...I can't get into them at all. But the tC is something I am really interested in...I just don't want to look stupid driving it. I'm also considering a MINI Cooper, VW Jetta, or a Malibu Maxx (I get the GM discount). I have yet to drive the tC...I'll probably go and do that tomorrow...just wanted to get some input first! Thanks!!!

I'm 27 and I just bought a tC. I guess I don't worry about it so much.

Actually the average age for a tC owner is 26 according to Jim Farley - Vice President of Scion. So you have nothing to worry about. And besides, 27 is NOT old. You know why? Because I am gonna turn 27 in a month.

At first I flet the same but the fact is most younger guys cant afford the car unless thier parents buy it for them. Even if scion markets for the youth, the older people are the ones buying them. By the way I'm 28 and loving my tc go for it.

25 ditto, just bought <1000 miles on the odometer.
It is not a kids car, your Civic, Eclipse etc i think would be pushed more into a kids car category.

Dude, don't hang it up at 27...I am 27 as well. I'm single, so family considerations are not in my mind as of yet, BUT even if I were in that position, I would get a tC. Good luck with your new tC!

I was 29 when I bought my tC, I'm 30 now. I think the tC is a smart buy for whoever purchases it, regardless of age.

Thanks...I feel A LOT better now!!! I can't wait to go drive one tomorrow...they look great and everything I've read about them is positive. I don't feel like I'm too old to drive one, I just don't want to be driving a car that mostly kids drive, ya know? Thanks again!!! Hopefully my test drive goes well.

i think that is for scion overall. In the t2b speech, Jim Farley specifically gave the stats for just tC owners. I think its in the video on scions website.

Yeah i second the businessmans car.. i think its definately a smart looking car, to those familiar with the Astra/Vectra in the Opel/Holden/Vauxhall range, maybe something similar to these in drivers.

I have an xB but would have felt just as comfortable getting aTC. I liked them both for different reasons. And I am 40.
