27 isn't old to drive a scion. i'm 26 and drive the xA. Besides there are a lot of scion owners that are in their mid twenties and up.

I don't think age matters. The only thing I don't like is Scion's marketing. Every time I see pictures of people it's these trying-to-be-cool-too-hard ultra-hip kids who are even too cool to smile for the camera normally and instead make hand signs and make their face look mean.

Hehe

That is exactly what I'm talking about...their marketing just plain sucks. I think it alienates buyers rather than attract them. I am certainly an example of this!

I wouldn't say that it alienates anyone, besides, most of the people in their ads are in their 20's (low 20's albeit). Toyota as a brand has the oldest average age demographic in the automotive industry, as their product line reflects this (say bye-bye Celica and MR2). That's why they invented the Scion brand, to market to those who are young and to those who are still young at heart.

Hopefully they don't screw up the Supra like Mitsubishi did with the Eclipse. But too young for Toyota, Scion Supra maybe :D

I'm 29 and I love my xB. Get the tC, it will make you feel younger.

BTW, if you have to explain that you get a GM discount after mentioning the malipuke maxx, then imagine having to explain that every time someone says "you should've bought the scion". j/k, kinda

Yes, you are too old. Please purchase a different brand.

Heck, I'm almost 39 and I just got an xA a few months ago. You are as old as you feel. Drive what makes you happy.

Iam going to be 21 in may. I just got my tC a month ago and i love it. And is it me or does it have more of a luxury feel than a sporty feel?

I'm about to be 25 and my fiance loves the car too - she is 27. We're planning on kids in the foreseeable future and not worried about it - she has a bigger car.

BUT... i WILL say definitely test the mini cooper before you make a decision - I just got rid of mine and now I'm just waiting for my tC to show up at the dealer.

the MINI is a fantastically fun car... but I would say it is less suitable for a "family car"

I tend to agree with everyone else. I'm 31 and I am seriously considering picking up a tC.

You're only as old as you feel on the inside...

Yeah...I've driven the Cooper...it's a ton of fun. I am leaning toward the tC because of the size though...I think the Cooper is just too small as I'm sure I will have back seat passengers on occasion. I was checking the specs and the tC has the same rear seat space as the VW Jetta! Not too bad for a coupe!

I see how you could view some cars as being for a certain age bracket. Safe, cheap cars are ones typically purchased for kids by their parents. I don't think that the tC is in any way considered a kids car. It doesn't carry the luxury as a g35 or 350z but it is an inexpensive, beautiful coupe.

If you drive it and love it, buy it. People will say what they will say regardless of the car you purchase. Drive what you love. Drive a Lexus/Merc and they will think you're a young rich punk driving an old mans car. Drive a Jetta and they'll think you stole your gfs car and wonder if she's still in highschool.

Please note the last sentence was a horrible stereotype not intended for anything beyond exhibiting the shallow, judgemental members of the populous.

The point is not caring what people say or think.

I'm 23, and absolutely adore mine.
