34 or 35, but that accounts for us big old fat farts buying the xB because of the room.

yep, i am the grand old age of 32... but i love my tC, it's the best car i've owned. seems that all my friends, older and younger, are impressed by the tC too.

you're only as old as the (woman) you feel, as my dad used to say.

Ok, that hurts!!!! I am 40, married, two kids, 13 and 7, a mortgage, two new cars and bills. I don't want to hear that you are too old. you are as old as you feel. I love my tC. Sold a 2002 custom Chevy Silverado for a $16,000 car and loving every minute of it. I am alsways out washing and waxing it or trying to find some new mod for it. Enjoy the car the kids and the wife and have fun doing it.

When I bought my xB, the finance lady told my that there are a lot of old people (60's +) buying the xB's because it reminded them of the old bread trucks from the 30's and 40's. So I would say 27 isn't too bad.

Besides, what else are you goiing to get, a Honda? I see a lot more high schoolers driving Hond'as than Scion's. If you were thinking about a Camry then you are old.

Why should age make any diff on what car you should buy? I am 20 yrs old and I find a nice S500 sexy as hell (not that I have the cash for it) If you see something you want get it, the Scion is a car for trendsetters.

As a gen x'er myself I was a bit put off by all the gen-y marketing (espeically since there is essentially no gen-x marketing out there - there just aren't enough of us to make it worthwhile apparently) but you know what? I don't really care what people think based on the car I drive.

I used to have a 1973 mustang mach 1 so people thought I must have been some sort of hyper-masculine, knuckle-dragging mouth breather. Then I got a 1996 Ford Escort so they though I must be some sort of wimpy, meek, impoverished philosophy student.

Both are completely wrong, as are whatever they say about a guy driving a 2005 Scion tC that has Nirvana, early U2, and Pearl Jam blasting out the open sunroof.

Not that I'm arguing with you, nor is this a reflection upon you, but that is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

Opinions of people who define you by your car are worthless anyways.

I'm 25 with a xB and a TC. I don't think age has anything to do with it. If you like the car, buy it. I would be more worried about the xB or xA age wise, but if you think your too old for a TC, then you might as well say your to old for any compact coupe (i.e. civic, accord, 626, etc....)

31 here my son and I have done virtually everything together since he was 12 dirt biking, nitro cars, and now import tuning, I have a tc, he has an integra his buddies drool......hell my buddies drool. I wouldn't put my small kids in a mini cooper. ( I also considered this car) Have you seen how close your head is to the rear glass in the back seat? much less to the bumper. I will gurantee you in an accident... You will be the first one there!

if you're really concerned then buy a luxury/classy sports car. Like a MB AMG, or BMW M series.

i was very suprised at the roominess of the tC. especially in the backseats you could definitely fit 2 people there comfortably. (without their knees banging behind the front passengers). although it's a coupe it can feel more like a sedan with 2 doors.
