I went out for my test drive today. It's a great day out, and as soon as I sat down in the test drive car, I knew I liked it. I test drove a BCP 5spd, carrying the options that I wouldn't get.

Man, what a great car. I had it out for about an hour, split between highway time and city driving. The cockpit is so well laid out! It's easily the most comfortable highway driving car that I've ever had the pleasure of driving - and that's a large factor for me, because I've got a hour commute.

So I got back, laid down a deposit, and ordered my tC! If there's a Flint Mica 5spd with side impact airbags coming to the dealer in tomorrow's allocation, then I'll have it in two weeks. If it's not there, then it'll probably be about a month.

I'm very excited. This is my first new car purchase, and I have to say that my experience at the dealer here in Rockford was very easy and quite painless.

Now the wait begins...

If it's coming in tomorrow, why would you have to wait two weeks? Just curious, because my car is supposed to be arriving this week, but my salesman didn't say anything to me about having to wait longer for it. I just assumed I could get it whenever I wanted once it came in.

 

Sorry, just looked that over and it is a bit unclear.

The allocation is happening tomorrow - they'll submit their preferences (my car'll be at the top of the list) and hopefully they'll get allocated one to my specs. If they do, then it'll be 2-3 weeks. If not, then they'll have to wait until the 16th, when they get their second allocation for the month.

 

Ahhh gotcha. That makes sense. I was just nervous for a minute because I have it all planned out to pick it up on Friday, assuming it arrives as planned this week and nothing goes wrong. I thought maybe there was some weird waiting period I wasn't aware of. Thanks for explaining it.

Yup! I actually read that this morning before I went in for the test drive. I've been planning to test drive today anyway; talk aobut luck!

i did the exact same thing you did today...test drive and deposit...gatta wait over 3 months for my black sand to come in...the wait is painful so im just ganna think about other things other than my tc...
