Arbitration for sunroof, rear hatch creaking defects 10-12-5
Well the arbitrator in his report stated he heard the noises coming from the sunroof and rear hatch. However, my claim was denied based upon none of these effect the safety of the vehicle. So natta, zilch- no feather in the cap of the good guys. Small Claims? maybe??
next step? Get a lemon law lawyer.. arbitration always seems to side with the manfacturer.. ask any lawyer! ridiculous i think.. so only way to fix it is to get yourself a good lawyer and claim lemon law.. then scion might actually listen to you! This pattern of behavior (getting lawyers and lemon law) isn't a really good way for Toyota/Scion to actually build a new brand!! Not with the type of market they are going after.. since this market will remember them not really helping..
WOW, WHAT A SHOCK! THE ARBITRATION FIRM THAT WAS HIRED BY TOYOTA, SIDED WITH TOYOTA! WHO WOULDA THUNK IT!?
As you have just found out, arbitration is always a poor choice when going against a giant corporation like Toyota.
A much better route is filing a complaint with your state's Attorney General Office, (You can file a complaint online in most states) and then depending upon their response go get yourself a lawyer that deals with these kind of issues.
Keep up the good fight. I know it must be frustrating as hell. Best of luck to you.
