The Auto-Dimming mirror with Compass

There is an auto-dimming mirror w/ compass available as an option for xA & xB.
The part number is PT374-52040.

For tC, the mirror is w/o compass but , as indicated previously, comes with colored lighting and Homelink - the part number is PT374-21050.

Now the obvious question: Can I put either mirror in any model Scion ? Anyone ??

FWIW, my tC delivery was delayed by one day b/c they said they couldn't figure out how to install it as it was different than any of the others they've seen. How hard/specialized could it be? Strip wire. Attach to screw. Attach mirror to car.

Hello, I was wondering how you actually found the part on the site? I went to the Scion xB 04 vehicle parts page and it didn't list the auto dimming mirror on the page...I was also wondering if this would work or not...

This is irritating because the line about the compass was there 1 minutes before I sent them my original email about it. Gee, I wonder how long the "misprint" was there? Overall, I really love my silver tC, but this kind of crap irritates me. GPS notwithstanding, one of the main reasons I got the friggin' mirror was because of the digital compass ALLEGEDLY built into it. Sheesh... :?
I noticed their website showed the price of the tC bra as $55 earlier today, but that's been corrected to the usual $169.

Of the 6 or so dealership i went to everyone said no compass...shame isn't it? in LA, a GPS is preferable, but at least a compass will steer you to one of the freeways at least.
anyway to retrofit other carmaker's auto-dimming mirror on there? The Audi one has the compass with red readouts
