Automatic tC short shifter
You are a mighty long ways away. I dont want the one that came from the factory cut for purposed of resell in the future....if i so chooose. I would buy one from toyota or a junked tC and then play around with that. I appreciate the offer. By the way, how exactly do you rethread metal? and how do you know what the thread count and distances are?
my dad has 30 years as a machinist. you can also cut and wekd the pieces of metal together or copy the threading of the shifter after u cut it off. i've toyed around with the idea of making our own short shifter for MT, just copying the specs of another short shifter. i dunno if it would sell seeing as how we don't have a brand name but it sure would be a lot cheaper than the kits out there. i used to live in charlotte where he had a shop set up.
well dude. if you could turn around in like 3 days over a weekend and get that thing back to me quick...and your dad does it, I'd def. pay you and enjoy every minute of it. However, if i remove the shifter, i woudl have no transpo..... unless i could get my mom to get me a shifter from toyo on the cheap....shes prts mngr
