Battery relocation with inline fuse: What amp should I use?
I'm relocating my battery to the trunk and want to install an inline fuse. Does anybody know what amp fuse to use?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Mods, if this is in the wrong section please move it.

If your planning on running the entire battery through the one inline fuse...then you need to add up all the amperage thats going through it and get a fuse that big. To start, I would look at the fuse box and add up all those fuses.
Why do you want an inline fuse though? If you want it as a safety kill switch, just put in a switch.

You don't want a fuse on the alt. to batt. lead, or the batt. to starter lead. If you're worried about the integrity of the wire, put in a killswitch. But no fuses. They're big choke points. On a freezing cold day, the starter could pop a 300A fuse.

thanks for all the responses so far. the inline fuse was for safety.
only other problem i have right now is determining where to place the battery. i have the ingalls rear brace and it kinda limits me. i know the obvious place is the spare tire location, but for the moment i'd like to keep my spare in case anything happens. only spot i'm able to is lining it up next to the brace on the right side (when facing the car from behind).
