brake light
lol well either way, this light has to do with either ebrake or brake pads. . .
but with only 10k miles... i dont know how you have to drive to get your brakes worn..
could the body shop mess something up for you? what were they doing

he must mean 10,000 miles, dude i also have an 07 and am around 10,800 and i drive my car hard which means hard breaking and still no brake light and have lots to go with my pads as well. check your button below the brake handle to see if it's making proper contact, that happened to a friend every now and then until i took a look at it and readjusted it and now it works fine and his is an 06 with over 30,000 miles i think.
Should be nowhere near wearing pads out at 10k, 40 - 50k is more like it. But if you are practicing bad habits while driving, you may have trashed them.
But, the brake light is not just there to tell you of pad wear (actually, that is just a side benefit), it also tells you that there is low or uneven brake pressure in the system. Check for leaks at each caliper and along all lines if the pads look good and healthy.
