Default Braking problem - Ticking/Hitting Back feeling?

For the past week, I have encounter two times about weird braking feeling from the brake pedal. When I try to brake, it seems like it does not brake since I was distracted by the feeling I got from the brake pedal. There was this ticking/hitting back at my brake pedal feeling when I tried to brake

weird, huh? Should take it to check out? any possible assumption on this guys?

yup i've had that happen too, like if i brake hard going into a driveway w/ a little gravel or turning hard and braking it does that.

its normal, it is the Anti-Lock break mechanism kicking in so you dont skid your tires and retain traction.

dont worry

Anti Lock Brakes, baby. Remember that the proper technique when you have ABS for stopping on a slippery surface is to jam the brake into the floor and hold it there until you stop. Avoid pumping or letting up on the brake, because you won't be able to stop the car faster- the ABS pumps faster than would be humanly possible.

I read the manual, I must have missed that part.

I was just braking not really that hard, cruising under 10MPH, stop before a red light in the city. I didnt think ABS would needed to be engaged. Therefore, at the time I didnt think it was ABS.

Now I have sat down and slowly read the manual, I see the page saying when u brake, and the ABS initiates, there will be ticking feeling on the pedal.

PS: My ex-car do not have ABS, tC is only my second.

But thanks all!

well they phrase it like a doctor would. Doctor's never say pain - but they love to say pressure .

"You're about to feel a little bit of pressure"

"OH GOD"
