yes, you should. changing out performance parts is not a good idea before the break in period. others will say that it doesn't matter, but it does

 

yikes - i was looking to put either my intake or exhaust on as soon as i got my car. humm --- I dont know how long I can wait hehe. I wanted to get my short shift put on asap though. I need a smaller shifter.

 

The short shifter won't have any effect on break-in. I'd just stay away from intakes, headers or exhaust's(except the TRD, won't hurt) until after break-in.

 

if you plan on keeping the car for a while, then wait the 1000 miles on POWER mods. if you plan to sell it in a couple years then stick them on.

 

The intake that Scion will put on for you... i think it was $350 installed.... give me feedback on that? should this not be put on when i get the car? yea, im going to wait on the exhaust but the shifter and sway bars are a must.
