I was wondering something about the break in period in a Tc. I know is the first 1000 miles and also I know the average miles per month are 1000 miles. I been driving my tc over a month already and it only have 600miles. would you said still under break in??

Same here, as I feel there may be benefits to doing so, and I don't believe the tC needs the old type of break-in routine older cars benefitted from. For anyone interested, search the web, as there are many debates over the merits of each.

cant hurt to play it safe if nobody can be sure...thats my philosophy. People can have the debate all they want, but i'm not going to risk hurting the car. take it easy for the 1st 1K, is it that big of a deal?...

Whether or not it's a "big deal" depends on which side of the debate an individual cares more about. Some people have said that 'driving it like you stole it' during the break-in period has resulted in more horsepower than for those that took it easy.

Personally, I think everyone should do whatever they want, neither answer is right or wrong and I'm sure not going to knock anyone for doing whichever they choose, even if it wasn't what I did myself.

I think what you are referring to is the dyno break in. You have to get your car with 0 miles (it has to be 0), and trailer it to a dyno, and run it. Here's some reading material:

Again, as the site says, it is a really controversial subject, just like using synthetic oil.

Agreed. I never got really into the whole debate, I just took it easy for the first 1000 miles, and varied the RPMS as much as I could.
