You're not kidding. I had printed out the Kaminari kit and she was all like "that looks so cool, how much is it??". I don't mind too much though because I married a great woman that's got good taste (her dream car is a 68 Shelby GT and NOT because of 'Gone in 60 Seconds)'. I highly doubt she'll oufit her's with red LED lighting though...

I went to Frederick's in Lebanon. My Grand Am is in their body shop, and the day it was wrecked and taken there they had a white tC on the lot that caught my eye. After I determined that I would need to get a new car, the tC was at the top of my list. Frederick's was the only Scion dealer in the area that could get me a black one within two weeks so I went with them. The added plus is that I used to work with the sales guy, so he's been real cool throughout the process.

Trust me dude, I tried. Of course she wasn't interested in the white because then she'd have to clean it all the time. She really wanted silver, but didn't like the tC's silver as much as she liked the xA's silver. I really tried to push her towards the black cherry, but she didn't like the purple tone it could take in certain light. Eh.

So now we just will have a bit of difficulty telling them apart in the dark. That's only until I start modding though. I'll be getting a body kit on there come spring.

i highly recommend a cold air intake, especially now that its actually cold out. The pull is really noticeable around 4000rpm's with a CAI

Yeah, I've noticed some people complaining about rattles when they have 2 12" subs in the hatch. Duh! Loud subs just increase the likelihood of rattlin' panels. I know for a fact that is the reason some of the rattles popped up in my car. Blasting bass for a while makes even a stock Lexus rattle like crazy if you don't do some sound deadening work.

They need to make a factory "Basshead" package for cars. Extra sound-deadening, mass-loaded panels, beefier alternator, etc.

don't turn my thread into a yarn about rattles. j/k

Got my tC. So in love. Thankfully I haven't heard a single rattle, and I do encounter some bumpy roads on my daily commute. I found an uber comfortable steering wheel tilt/seat position combination (remember, 6' 5"), and absolutely love the feel of driving it.

I will say one thing though: the sound system seriously needs upgraded. There's no notable bass in the audio, even with the 'Feel' SSP settings. So I guess my first upgrade will be putting in new speakers all around? I'll also be getting the Scion floormats to help protect the interior. I'm weary about just leaving it bare.

I'll take pics this weekend after my wife gets hers. Best of both worlds: 06 BSP(mine) and 06 FM

Yeah, I am very impressed with the Scion floormats. You might want to order them online, from a place like McGeorgeparts.com, 'cuz they are awfully expensive from the dealer.

I actually wasn't too put off by the sound system. Set the SSP to XA and it doesn't sound too bad. That being said, I have all new speakers and a sub myself, but I thought I could almost be content with the stock system.

floor mats are a good idea. i love them...easy to clean.

i am content with my stock speaker system...i just came from a system with TWO 6.5" crappy pioneer speakers. i like the stock system...tweak it to xa, feel and adjust the bass and treble...the bass on some rock isn't so great and the rap bass is decent enough to rattle my rear view mirror.

Don't know what 'tweak it to xa' means, but I did find the bass & treb controls. Like a noob I didn't even look at my owners manual, nor did I look closely at my stereo controls. Eh, the excitement of owning this pretty machine must have blinded me.

Anyways, now it's tolerable. I still want to upgrade my speakers, but the how to post in this forum looks kinda involved and a tad difficult. I just got this baby yesterday and I'm hesitant to start ripping it apart.

Truth is I've never 'modded' a car before.
