Sup guys,

Ive been trying to find the trunk light switch for about a day. The manual says it's on the left, but I still cant find it. Help! please! anyone!

 

open hatch, look left 1/2 way between end of car and backseat., should be office lighting plastic looking thing, should be black switch next to it.

 

it should be the on the left. looks like a pack of cigs and the switch is right on it.

well it was dark... and without a light you know u cant see anything... ?

 

just wanta know if the trunk light is ON when i close the hatch will it be off or it'll stay on?

So it turns off autometically when the hatch is locked, then why the hell they have an "on/off" switch, and "off" is the default?

 

i think by having a switch scion can say it's a stock feature. so they can count it as part of the luxury style elements. kinda like saying "yeah, all those other cars in this class has a stock trunk light, but WE have a switch to turn it off and on"

haha! I found it this moring! YeS! :D... I have the sub so is there suppose to be one on the other side?

 

no theres just the one on the left. It doesnt really light up the whole area very well. but im not diggin in my trunk at night enough to care.

 

that is pretty dumb....!!!!

I found that ____ by surprise today. Before I thought it didnt have a trunk light. I've only had the car 3 days.

I didn't know that it automatically cut off when you shut the hatch, I figured it stayed on... thus the switch.

 

it would drain your battery if it was on...over a long period of time. The switch is there for if you want it on when the hatch is open.

 

this is funny because i just found out last week there was a light in the hatch area but it doesnt matter now b/c after i put in my stereo the box covers the light haha

 

Ditto. I read the entire manual the day I got the car. (When I picked it up we immediately went ot my grandmother's house out of state. I had nothing else to do). I apparently forgot about the light until I noticed it in the trunk one day.

If only I could stumble upon a light in the glove compartment...
