Here's pics of a prototype exhaust manifold cover made out of carbon fiber.





Questions:
a. Would you put this on your car?
b. What price point do you think this should be?

I would say around $140.00...

 

Looks decent, but would be a little worried abou the heat. Id say $100-$150 would be a fair price...

 

would rather show off my polished header...and is that heat resistant?

will it fit all aftermarket headers currently on the market?

 

it depends on the header

 

what about the factory manifold? will it fit over that? the big metal deal is ugly

 

There are only four or five if you count the Weapon R race header. Could you make one that was a little generic? Very cool looking though.

 

i like. but it all depends on what header it would fit. and i would say about $140 sounds bout right. paid $100 for my carbon fiber engine cover though.

hmm, it will fit over the original heat sheild..........I will look into what aftermarket headers it might fit over however it was originally designed to work with the factory heat sheild. Its a nice looking piece.......right when you open the hood......this huge piece of carbon fiber is right there

 

Hmm this might inspire me to do something with the OEM heat shield hmmmmmmm the ideas LOL

 

so is this a cover for the exsisting heat shield or a actual replacement???
