considering carmax is in the business of making money, I dont see why you guys complain.

any business that truly goes out of a limb to give the customer deals all the time = out of business and goes belly up very soon. Reason why many mom and pop shops never last. Along with shadey grey market sales causing bigger business hurt also.

I dont know of any existing business out there that puts profit below customers. Carmax ain't a charity, so I dont think they should be viewed as one.

If you want to make most of your money back, just do a private sale or go to a dealership that bargains and make a deal about trading a vehicle towards another vehicle on their lot. They may give you a better deal that way, since they end up profiting either way.

this reminds of the time when people were complaining about 5 axis lip kit price. 5 axis was in the business of making money and people were expecting outrageous discounts. Not realistic.

in truth the nations economy is hitting an all time low, people arent buying and businesses arent selling. I dont think anyone thats gonna go to a place like carmax should expect much money back, considering how most businesses right now are hurting.

sure stimulus checks work for about a week, than after that, expect everyone to stay home and not shop. Who wants to drive around and spend money when gas is almost $5 a gallon?
