Changing tire and wheels HELP
Hey guys
I got a 07 tc base, I want to change the tires because they're pretty worn out, but I'd like new rims as well.
I dont mind 17's but 18's would be nice, I am aware of that tire pressure transmitter thing after reading it. My concern is...what exact sizes of tires/wheels are available to me?
And I plan to drop the car 2inches..so ya
ex: stock are 215/45/17's
Most likely will be chosing the rims from over the net, thats why I wanna know the exact sizes so I don't buy rims that wont fit w/ the sensor or after dropping etc..

For 18 you want 225/40/18 or if you are lowered 225/35/18 to avoid rubbing. Side wall is thinner but your ride will be rough and speedometer is like 2 miles faster.
As for 17s i cant really tell you a lot. Go with stock size or you can go a little wider and get 225.
btw it should be in wheel and tire section.

These two stickies were very helpful for me when i researched on my wheels and tires.

Park outside your driveway and lower it on s-techs. But seriously, save your money and stay 4x4 style lifted until you can afford some coilovers. About 600 more than springs but coilovers you can have your own preferred drop plus great handling.
H&R springs handle awesome. Honestly most people dont need coilovers. If you autocross its not a bad idea although i know a few peopl autocrossign with the H&R's and have no prob. If you want to be able to adjust your hieght at will get coilovers. You can also adjust dampening depending on the coilovers as well. Just do soem research which it seems you have already done but i would do a lil more if yoru gonna think about gettin hotchkis springs.

Good remark. Cause you'll have to spend the extra $$$ on struts/shocks too. I wish I would of went that route. Since the TRD look cost me total $1,700 including installation.

225 is the width of the tire. 40 is the % of the width (225) that gives you the sidewall height. 18 is the wheel diameter.
The stock tire size for the tC is 215/45R17. If you decide to upgarde to 18's the size should be 225/40R18. I hope this helps, but if you need further info, just PM your questions.
