I believe this is a low budget version of the box people are selling with 4 wires coming out of it (Two in, two out.) None of them are willing to say what they are trying to accomplish with these things in the auctions but I assumed if they did anything at all it must be timing related - and yes, this guy says his resistor will allow you to change the timing. Its true that you can get a few ponies from advancing ignition timing and as long as you don't have detonation issues Its not really a bad deal -- oldest trick in the book really. If anyone on the board has done this they could tell you what resistor to use and where to hook it up and if it works. I don't think I'd pay anyone for this though.

I do like that he is willing to replace the resistor if it ever breaks though. A little comic relief.
