Default Clutch Noise

i can only hear it if its somewhat quiet. like when im in the garage. the clutch makes a bit of a rattling noise when my foots off it. (yes its on neutral) but when i hold it down the sound goes away. is this normal?

How many miles on it? Does it only happen at first start up when its cold.

It sounds like a release bearing.

theres about 833miles on it. come to think of it the only time i heard it is when its in the garage so its probably still cold. i'll see if it still makes that noise when its warmed up.

how long does it take for the bearings in the transmission to be broken in?

Bearings don't break in. In this case, as long as you can shift normally then you really have nothing to worry about, especially on a new car.

where is the vibrating noise coming from? you said the clutch but... is it coming from inside the car around the clutch? or... can you give anything more specific?

I only ask because when the clutch is engaged there's more moving parts to cause a vibration... for me the wires in the fuse box vibrate on occasion, and I get a squeaky clutch when wet, but all the noises are other things (coins, plastic, wires, springs, etc.), but not actually the clutch.

If it goes away when its warm then there is nothing wrong, some bearings make noise when cold and thats the end of it.
