Default creaking sound

I thought this was fixed but I guess not. My car makes a horrible creaking sound when going over any large bumps or potholes. The dealership has seen my car plenty of times, and they grease it or oil it and it temporarily goes away for about a week or two. At this point my trd shocks/springs and rear sway bar were all removed and have stock parts back on since they thought those might be the cause. This happens from both the front and the back. The dealership is at a loss and so am I.

Any suggestions? I've tried white grease and silicone myself and I believe the dealer has done the same but no luck.

Sounds like you are worrying about this too much. You even went so far as to remove all your upgraded suspension parts? I have the TRD spring, shocks, struts, and bars, and I have had this creaking since Day 1. It happens over bumps, driveways, on tight bends, etc. It sounds like it's coming from the rear roof area. I don't really worry about it too much.

its a glass roof. something's gotta give a little so that the entire thing doesnt shatter when you go over a bump.

I didn't remove them, the dealership did. And the sound is not body flex from the lowering springs. It's doing it on a stock setup from underneath the car.

It has to be body-flex. I'm sure it happens on all stock tCs too, but it can only get worse when you add parts to stiffen up the ride.

It's odd though that the sound isn't coming from the roof area, or while making turns. It's coming from underneath the car and sounds like really old rusty springs being compressed. I know what the typical body flex sound is, this isn't it. It's embarrasingly loud and my service advisor even said he hasn't heard something like that before.

Hmmm, does it also happen when you get in and out of the car?

No, but if I push down hard enough in the trunk space it does it.
