damn! my mirror!
Accidentally cracked my driver's side mirror casing while backing down a very narrow driveway. Does anyone know where I can purchase mirror casing, and if so, is it easy to fix myself? The mechanics are OK, the mirror itself is not cracked, and the light is OK and working. The external casing was cracked badly, as well as the interior (black) casing.
Or maybe this is something the dealer can do with little hassle and low price?

Mirrors like that are usually in $200 range for the whole assembly. Not sure if they would sell one separately, but I am sure the dealer will rape you blind on labor. From my experience with other cars - power mirror replacement takes about 15 minutes. Dealer might charge you 2 hours, just for the hack of it.
yeah that sucks.. check your dealer's parts dept for the part price.. maybe they like you and give you a break..
otherwise you could always look up mcgeorgeparts.com and see what they'd charge you for it...

there was a guy on the board who's tC got totaled... maybe he's still got a good mirror that you could buy for a lil cheaper than dealer.
otherwise... start saving your lunch money :-p best of luck.
