Default dealer install experience...

So I take my tc to get the sub installed, i just wanted some more bass without wreckin the warranty in anyway, and get an oil change. So I get a message on my voice telling me to call them, so I did. They ended up scratching my door somehow and sent it to the body shop b4 I could even see it. The body shop is not located at that dealer but another one owned by the same person. So I get the car back after that and it looks like they fixed the door fine but its freezing cold and its been snowing lately so i have yet to get it really clean to check well. But anyway, I was driving home from work the next day and its a nice 35 degrees or so, so i try to open the passenger window for some air and it doesnt open. I check the window lock but it wasnt that and i tried the button on the passenger side and it worked. So I call the dealer and set up another appointment to fix it. Right after I get off the phone I try the sunroof and thats not working either now. So I call back and mention that. All this stuff was workin fine before I took it in. So next week it goes back. It better get fixed or I'm gonna start gettin ____ed. Oh and before all that I drove it for like 2 months without an inspection sticker cuz they never put one on. Good thing i was workin nights at that time. But the sub adds a good compliment of bass to the stock system.

here's how to reset them. I got this off of www.clubsciontc.com:

"This is in the users manual but it's still nice to have a DIY here for people to see so they're aware of this problem before it happens and don't FREAK OUT like I did...

After you remove your door panels and put them back on the car, or disconnect and reconnect your battery, OR lose power to your interior some other way, your power windows WILL NOT WORK CORRECTLY. You won't be able to roll the pasengers side window down with the drivers side button, and your auto up / auto down functions won't work like they're supposed to on either side of the car either.

The instructions for fixing this are in your users manual. Basically what you have to do is get someone to help you. The driver can still roll his window up and down with the switch (although you might have to push it all the way - ala usually auto up / down - to get it to go up/down), and the passenger can roll his window up/down with his switch. One or more of the lights on the switches will be blinking after you reconnect the door panels and start the car. This is normal and indicates that your window computer will need to be reset.

To reset the window computer, get someone to help you. Turn the car off, and then turn the key to the ACCESSORY position. Wait a few seconds and you and your passenger must roll both windows about half-way down (at the same time), and then wait for a second, and roll them all the way up while STILL PRESSING THE WINDOW UP BUTTON AFTER THEY CLOSE FOR ATLEAST 2 SECONDS. You'll basically be rolling the windows up even though they're already up for 2 seconds. After 2 seconds, let them go. The compuer will reset and the lights on the buttons on either side of the car should stop blinking. Turn the car off and back on (or to Accessory) position and you should be able to operate all windows like normal.

If this doesn't work, consult your user manual for exact instructions. If you STILL can't do it, the user manual suggests that you see your dealer."

Jeez, a car needs a computer now to roll windows up and down?

Could you imagine someone purchasing one of these Scions used later down the road, the new owner changes the battery and the car is missing the manual? Pure hell.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I'm learning all sorts of little things from you guys here, such as the trick with holding the SSP button on the stock radio... I would've never figured that out if I never bothered to open the manual.
