^^ true, but you can swap between both of them. 5W20 winter, 5W30 summer.

The different WEIGHTS doesn't mean its STRONGER.
Good quote from howstuffworks
Multi-weight oils (such as 10W-30) are a new invention made possible by adding polymers to oil. The polymers allow the oil to have different weights at different temperatures. The first number indicates the viscosity of the oil at a cold temperature, while the second number indicates the viscosity at operating temperature.

I noticed they used 4qt. of 5w30 oil. I guess from 06 recommendation changed to

0w20 or 5w20 and it even says on the oil cap. I thought they now use 20s on every

new car. am I wrong?

Should I go back and change it again? or it's not a big deal? I'm worried about if it

messes something up or effect on gas milege.

Oh this is my first oil change ever for my tC
Did you go back and talk to the service advisor or call them? I had the same deal on my invoice, but they said that their computer pops up 5w30 by default and that they then put in whatever oil is recc'd for the vehicle.

I don't know if they were pulling stuff out of their rear-end, but it's a possibility.

That's what you hope. There's a chance they said that to simply get rid of you.

Off topic: So I gather running 10w30 would probably to less efficient lubrication in cold weather start-ups? Damn, and I have 5 quarts worth of synthetic 10w30 that I bought for a different car.

It's called Walmart...they take exchanges for store credit without receipt.

What brand is it? As long as Walmart sells that particular oil...you're good to go.
