Dont let one salesman mess it up for you.

I stopped by the dealership before buying my car and had a HORRIBLE experience. I was with my dad, because I had just moved back from Italy and my car was still on a boat somewhere. So I needed a car, but wasnt in a huge rush. I had been looking at 350Zs and Evos and all that. But wanted something i could modify.
Pulled up to Scion. And this guy came up. Now I was 25 and look to be in my 30s at the time. Guy gave me the speal about how its a good car for a kid and that my dad wouldnt regret buying it for me. I quickly told him, my dad had nothing to do with it. He was just my ride. Then handed me keys for a test drive before I even looked at the car. I didnt have time for a test drive. He told me to stop waisting his time then and to come back when I was actually serious about buying a car.

I came back alone a week later and he came up to me and said you arent here to waste my time again are you? I told him to *** off and found my own salesman.

HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH THAT ONE!!

haha true. it kind of irritates me how whenever i'm at a dealership, the salespeople always approach me and start talking about the tC as if they know more about it than i do

Yep - well it's all part of a salesman's job - to maximize dealer profits. Most cars, if you were to get them without overpriced options makes pretty razor thin margins on profit. (at least relative to the Holding costs that the dealership has)

They sent in a guy to see how dealerships really work.

when i bought my tC i actually got an awesome salesman. Everytime he started to explain something about the car, i would cut him off and finish his sentance for him. haha. pretty much just letting him know that i wasnt messing around and i already knew my $hit

5k for a '95 Supra is an insult. My '83 Supra was appraised at almost 6k.

Some salespeople are not meant to be salespeople. Being at a Toyota dealership there should be no need for him to be pushy as those cars usually sell themselves. I work with a sales guy at a Ford dealership who is pushy and doesn't listen. One time I drove my parents car into work and he walked up to my driver's side door to greet me...

besides, build the TC you want on scion.com take them the printout and tell them to get it to you, they have to give it you at that price anyway

Go to a different dealer. Not all salesmen are like that. And some of them DO have knowledge about their product and other cars on the market.

P.S. I'm one of them.

I don't understand what the salesman did to annoy you that much. He was only doing his job, probably just didn't understand the rarity of a supra.

Supras are so freaking nice dude. Even if you could possible ever get an even trade for the tC, I thing you'd probably regret it since it would be so hard to ever get your hands on another Supra.
