i know im getting ahead of myself here, but after reading another thread on how much scions were going for at autotrader.com (see for yourself of the prices), i have to ask how much will the tC depreciate over the years? one of my reasons for picking the tC over the mazda 3 was that i know that toyota has good resale value and when i wanted to get a new car i wud get a good price on my trade in.

 

a random guess would be a blue book value of around $8-9k after 3 years for a tC in excellent condition

my WRX is $17k after 39 months ($25,500 when new)

the worst i've seen is Pontiac Grand Prixs.... 2002 GTP's are going for 8-12k.... that's a 30k car when new, down 70% in 2 years!

 

i think tC will hold up its value just like corolla and camry. it's an improved camry after all, so i expect low depreciation.
