like the title says, my car shock's the **** out of me everytime i get out. and i'm not talking about a dinky, tickling kind of shock. it's like i'm getting zapped by a mild tazer. I think I've grown afraid of my car...

anybody else with this problem?

 

I get shocked by both my xB and my girlfriends Camry but only when the conditions are right. Dry air and a windy condition. When the Santa Ana's are blowing you can see the spark! The way I get around it is to hold on to any metal part of the door as I'm getting out of the car rather than getting out and then touching the body. You're right, it's not just a little tickle and it makes you think twice about getting out of the car every time. Good luck!

i get that often too..recently i've been using my leg to close the door, so far so good..of course im not damaging my car at all...does using your leg prevent the shock? i have no clue, but i've been lucky so far

 

Just wait until you get beer goggles one night and wake up the next morning on a strange room - you'll be shocked!
