Okay my "future" brother inlaw just got hit and run the other day. white xB . long story but n e way that truck nailed his front bumper off and popped his tires. so when he tried to jack it up and put in the spare, he noticed ... horible design done by kids j/p, just wasn't thinking out of the box, but usually under the spare tires or some where in the trunk should be a portable jack. but after looking around he said there wasn't any... now he has to go buy one and put it in the trunk, so that's more space to waste!

Ofcourse he don't have to but, for living in philly and 17in rim(which tC comes with) should have one just in case of an emergency

so now i wonder does the tC has one?

if not i'll force the dealer to compensate for it XD XD

 

yes there is a emergency jack, its in the middle of the spare

the xB's have a jack as well....its required by law that a car be equiped with a spare tire of some sort, jack, and wrench. I think your brother in law either lost the jack or is looking in the wrong spot. The xB i test drove had everything I listed as well as an emergency kit in case you are broken down on the road

 

by law really? mm i'll tell him that, so if he didn't have it, he can go get it from the dealer

btw where is it located does anyone know? so i can located it for him? LOL

 

The jack is under the driver seat. Nice for it to be(NOT)

certainly not in the middle of the spare, because he replaced the tire with the spare and he said it was not there, he had to borrow someone's jack down the street :T but i'll check the driver seat :T

 

The jack for the xB is under the drivers seat, it has a plastic cover over it. Not the best place for it but it works.....
