the tC is almost like a blank page out of a coloring book... the basic outline looks a little bland until you add some personality to it. and rarely do two people color the same picture and have it come out the same... it's about making all those little decisions for yourself that, in the end, make your car one of a kind and a reflection of yourself. unless you're a ricer, then it's more a reflection of Vin Diesel.

Banana, sorry to say, but I think you're sort of an exception here! lol! seriously though, who drives a BMW and a Porche for their first two cars, and then switches to a Scion?? no offense or anything, but what did you expect? all I'm saying is you're comparing apples and oranges.

my first two cars were boring... an '89 Plymouth Horizon, then a '90 Dodge Spirit - both turds. then I got my '91 CRX which was a turd while I still had the old D15 automatic that burned a quart of oil in 50 miles, but it still had handling and it still had soul. I loved it even more after I swapped in the 5spd B18A... dayum! talk about a difference of night and day! that car had torque that just wouldn't quit! and at barely over a ton, it would slide through turns like nothing else I've ever driven. ok, that's a lie. my brother's S2000 is sick on the twisties. but still, I vow to one day own another CRX, but next time it will be a glass top SiR.

My tc has the soul of a fire-breathing african scaled three-twoed horn-rimmed tree frog named Zatoshi. It told me this one day while i was driving.

hahah sorry guys i never put the years on the cars lol the 88 BMW 325 has been in the family its a stick, basically a beater car and i learned to drive it . The porsche i actually got for free, the guy said he did not want it and wanted to give it to a fellow enthuasit however he did ask me to fix her as kind of paying him for it. So i did, i spent 3,000+ of my own money into the car got the engine rebuilt and interior re-done. The porsche btw was a 79, but still fun. The scion was given to me as a reliable car for college/grad present/thank you for making all a's through highschool and paying for some of the car.

However on another note i disagree on being over priced etc... people buy these cars as a status symbol etc yes i agree on that part. But what about for the person who loves the car... my brother fell in love with the same bmw i drove because well he had to learn to drive a stick. Well since he loved it so much he went out and bought a 98 M3 had just about everything u could do to a n/a motor i mean everything (beat a na-t supra with t-78 turbo) Well anyway, the car was made from a legacy of motorsport perfection giving it a feel and justification of being worthy to be so high priced. Mario andretti (sp?) drives a m3 and he could drive just about any car he wanted. Why would he choose an m3 and not some flashy rich boy 360 modena(not saying he dosent probably have one), well because of its heritage and ability to handle the way it does. And i have the same personal opinion of porsche, because i fell in love with a 959, however owning one would be another story... bill gates couldnt even get one however i did read somewhere that they would be able to import some now? Cars built with these high prices have a soul already beacuse of their background, look behind any of these "flashy expensive cars" and see where they really came from in retrospec. I can assure you most of them came from a motorsport racing background and not some look at me i can afford this.

My TC has no soul. I regret selling my 94 Altima. I revved it to the redline in all the first 3 gears almost everyday I drove it. Still, the engine or gearbox showed no signs of wear until I sold it at 140K. It didn't rattle like the TC does. With my TC, I'm afraid to drive it hard. Feels like the parts will come apart. Both the engines are 2.4 litre, and the Altima is 10HP less. But it used to feel way better. There's something different about Nissans, especially, the old ones. Besides, the cars they make these days are so plasticky, cheap-materialed and cost-cuttingish. 17K got better cars 10 years ago. Either it's inflation or declining margins for the car companies.

Having said all this, I still think TC is better than other cars in the same price range. It's my choice of the price range that I have to be complaining about!

Anyway, I learnt my lesson. Spend more money and get something you will like for a long time. I got the eclipse AVN6600 last week. Hope it will extend the honeymoon a little longer!
