DOC I FTW!Also shipped fast, plus you know its quality because it used to be a stock shifter from another tC.

Any short shifter is a good mod, but make sure if your going that route homie change out the bushings.. I SWEAR YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! Talk about day and night, nice firm crisp shifts. Click Click

Ohh yeah not sure if you've been to this thread but its all the info on short shifters.. None the less good luck and hope you enjoy your mod!

ok so i got my doc iso gearshifter extreme lite (excellent timing by the way) and im about to go for the install. I need some help since this is my first time. I saw the install guides for short shifters but i still have one question. Do i need to disconnect the battery before I start removing all those wires?

Short shifters are for losers!
:p

Real men get short throw tall shifters.

This is a custom shifter Dr. Iso did for me about 6 months ago. It is 7" taller but trough his cage design, it manages to shorten throws by 40%.

Thumbs up to Dr. Isotope from me.

I agree - great guy, great service

Not to hijack, but is there a way to keep the stock height and get a certain reduction?

I can make a shifter with stock height and ~45% throw reduction. Though I do recommend a drop of at least an inch, as the bend at stock height is not the best in terms of comfort/movement.

any pictures of the Extreme lite w/ a 2" reduction or whatever the lowest is? Side shots or from the driver. Have TWM right now, really like it - need bushings though.

I got a 3" reduction from him. I just got the regular one and did the core exchange. Best $$ I put in the car to date.

My gearswitcher is my favorite mod! Highly recommended.

Get at least a 2" drop if not a 3" drop. I got a 2" and wish I had gotten maybe 2.5". But I'm 5'11" so you may not be that tall and need the drop.

Installing it was fun, I got the premium.

the only argument i have with the dr. isotope one is that it didn't come with the lock washer that you hammer in so the pin doesn't come out. i installed a twm on mine and it came with an extra one so when I installed my friend's dr. isotope, i was able to complete the installation. that's my only argument. I'm sure it was just a little mistake when putting everything in the box. other than that, the dr. isotope is great. I love his cubby panel cut-outs.
