Yes, I hate all the above, but I despise these people. I REFUSE to let them in. They wanted to get in that lane....shiny. They can stay in it until *I* pass by.

 

"Almost"??? Heh...get in line then bud. I 'was' hit by a 71 year old retired guy who backed right into me as I was waiting on a space. I honked and everything and this &*^**&^ guy said "I didn't see you in my mirror."

I said "THAT"S WHY YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE!!!!"

(The entire front of my car was PLAINLY visible in his rightside mirror because he hit my rear quarter panel. (This was on a '91 Corolla BTW, not my tC)

 

You ain't lying. This goes along with the other poster's hatred for the people who stay in 'merging' lanes until the last second. You just KNOW that if you get there at the same time, they are NOT getting in front of you. But that moron in front of you crawls and ends up letting them in. I HATE THAT.

One of these a-holes is why I'm driving a tC now. (Forced out of my lane and I totaled my car.)

 

Oh man.....I have a tale...

I was in guam, in the military and had a friend who liked to drive kinda fast (we were young, go figure). Anyway, we're on the ONLY three-lane stretch of road on the whole island, and we're in the middle lane (going about 60 in a 45...maybe more). NO OTHER CARS around us for at least a block in each direction.

So this oooooooold a$$ filipino man pulls out going....10. RIGHT INTO OUR LANE.

What an IDIOT.

 

I hate when people constantly hits the brakes for no apparent reason. I'll be doing 70mph down the interstate and the a$$hat in front of me hits the brakes every 4 seconds w/ nothing (or a car 6 car links ahead). WTF?

 

According to Jeremy Clarkson (legend) this is the number-one cause of traffic jams. Some idiot will randomly touch the brakes when it's not even necessary, and this will start a chain reaction where everyone behind starts braking. When the car in front of you brakes, it's only natural that you will start to brake too because you think there is a reason to slow down. However, if you have one of these brake-tappers in front of you, you actually have to start ignoring their brake lights after the first few times, and that can be downright dangerous. It's like the boy who cried wolf - if you keep giving me false-alarm brake lights, then I won't believe your brake lights when you actually brake for real.

 

My biggest gripe would have to be the (accident waiting to happen) traveling down the on-ramp at 35-50 miles an hour.....

Now, I'm no scientist.....but I DO know a bit about physics. If you pop onto the interstate at a full 20 mph slower than the normal flow of traffic, you are going to cause one of two things:

1) The person (usually a tractor-trailor) going 70 in the right lane who thought you would be FAR ahead of him/her when you merged, NOW has to brake hard and change lanes....causing a potentially dangerous situation by either cutting off another innocent driver or losing control.

2) I AM following said idiot down the ramp....pulling my hair out of my head because I know I should be accelerating to 70....but instead I'm acting as this retard's human shield as they try to merge.

I then get to the straightaway doing 45 behind this driver's ED reject.....and I'm looking to shoot two lanes over on the interstate to FLY past them. Now, my anger and their stupidity have blended to cause a VERY dangerous situation.


But I'll do it again!!!

Today I was reminded of another pet peeve - people who do not understand the concept of "2 cars per green" at the freeway onramp. I often use a particular onramp to the 101 which has just one lane and is very long, with a meter light at the end. Most ramps allow just one car to enter the freeway for every cycle of the meter light, but this particular ramp has a sign which says "2 cars per green" in order to alleviate the long traffic jam which usually occurs on the ramp. Despite the sign, only one driver seems to go for every green light about 90% of the time. This morning, I was waiting at the back of the line, looking ahead at the end of the onramp, and only one car proceeded EVERY time. The other idiots forced me to wait for about 20 light cycles until it was my turn, instead of the ~10 cycles which I should have been waiting for. Thanks, everyone, for doubling my wait time with your illiteracy and poor number skills.

 

I usually only follow those idiots long enough to where I get to the double white line. Then as soon as I see their signal like they're trying to get over, I blast around them and leave them in the dust, usually dumbfounded.

 

I can not stand people who drive in the LEFT LANE and drive slow... or people who are in a turn only lane and decide that there lane has to merge into yours making you swerve and put your finger out the window while blowing the horn... causing me to have no hands on the wheel...

And i cant stand old people which florida is full of they go 5 below the speed limit and they panic near any turn Annoying!!!!
