No. You're just asking for more trouble by thinking about dropping in a 2JZ-GE onto a tC. The 3.0L Inline-6 engine is bigger and longer than the 3.3L V6. You might as well just get yourself a Supra or a IS300 if you're planning on doing that.
Yes I agree, I think that some people are missing the point. The I4 for the tC is sourced from the Camry, the Camry also has an available V6 option. For Toyota to save money they usually use the same engine mounts, electronics, etc. If that is true then it would be easy to swap the motors, in the same way that it is relatively easy to swap motors in Honda's.

I spoke to Matt @ Monkeywrench. This is what he had to say: http://www.newscion.org/forums/showthread.php?t=108

How much more larger is the Camry Engine bay to the tC Bay? How much bigger is the engine? If it can be done I will get it done. I have ordered a tC...and I can get my hands on a V6 SE Camry Engine. It's not about the money...its about being able to do it...because no one else will. A supercharged v6 Camry engine inside a tC...You know you will be able to hang with a WRX or G35 Coupe...you can blow all those other cars away that have a fart can and a fake second exhaust(just there for show). Definately blow a 6 or rx-8 out the water. It's about the surprise. Always route for the underdog.

I need help from you mechanic geniuses to figure out if this can be done. What about twin turbo?

All I know is that if the Camry's V6 can fit in a 5th gen Celica and MK2 MR2, then i'm sure the tC has the space for the V6. Unless Toyota made the engine bay smaller for the tC. You could also go to the extreme and drop in a 4.0L V8 from the Lexus' and twin-turbo that. It's been done before on a 5th gen Celica. :D

Edit: If you need help modding up the V6, the guys over at the MR2 forums could help you out. One guy has his V6 running more than 400+ HP if i remember correctly.

Edit2: Here's the dyno graph of the V6 engine:

His username is overboostvr4 on MR2OC.com.

Not to change the subject too much...(still engine swap), but have any xB owners looked into a 1.8L celica gts motor swap? This seems like it would be a match made in heaven if the mounts were the same from engine to engine..

I was looking to do a engine swap in my box. there is a company that sell engines on ebay. you could get a good one for around 600, the problem is getting it in there. I would want to bore it out and build up the internals before I jammed it in there though.
