I'd say FF type 2's. Front on mine go plenty low. Rears with the updated version go super low too. I have the gen 1 and the rears don't go that low, but they're a great coilover, and like iheartzombies said the camber plates are an awesome bonus.

Definitely taking everybody's opinions into account; thanks for the responses. With the recent support for F&F Type 2, I'm leaning in that direction. I just need to do some more gawking/lurking on build threads.

EDIT: I've decided to purchase BC coilovers w/ the Extreme Drop Kit through Meng Motorsports (the option to get the EDK is now on their web page). I'm just waiting for a little more money to come in before I go for it.

Thanks for the help, everybody!

You should check them out. Not sure if they have the option to the extreme low kit.

Funny story:

Car parts put on hold yet again (story of my life?).
I decided to be a little bit smarter with my money and I bought a new bike: http://www.statebicycle.com/product_p/contender.htm
I'm living just off campus next year and I wanted something to get from my apartment to my classes pretty quickly. I'll also be riding it across town to work.
Needless to say, my car's not going to be seeing very many miles.

Thanks for the input, though!

So here we go again: more potential car parts.

I've found a set of gunmetal gray (w/ polished lip) Volk ce28n in 17x8.5 fairly locally (5 hour drive) for $1200. They're flawless except for one wheel, which has a bit of curb rash that's been wet-sanded out as much as possible. He'll also throw in a set of 15mm Ichiba v2 spacers.

I want your opinions; yay or nay?

After an astonishing amount of replies in favor of buying them, I decided to go for it.

iPhone pic after polishing them up a bit. It turns out that three of them have some rash, and the stickers are peeling on all of them. Considering the fact that they're my first set of wheels and I'll be daily-ing them, I'm not too bothered by the imperfections. Just happy that I'll finally be rolling on something non-stock.

They're 17x8.5, et 52(wtf?). I ordered some 215/45 tires just a bit ago. Should have them in and mounted by mid-week.

EDIT: It's been brought to my attention that I may have problems fitting them because of the extreme offset. Has anybody seen 8.5 et 52 fit on a tC before?

Very dope. Keep up the build, can't wait to see how it sits after installing some proper coilovers.

Thanks, dude.

Learned a few minutes ago that the rubbing noise I've been hearing the rear is shaving off some of the metal lip on the inside of the wheel. Oops.
Bringing back to the shop tomorrow morning to see what they can do about it while I wait for some spacers.

EDIT: For future reference: 17x8.5 et52 will not fit on a tC without spacers. It was confirmed that the wheels were making contact with my rear lower control arms.

25mm spacers for the front and rear on their way. Along with a torque wrench.
Should be here by next Friday.

I dont understand. Are you suggesting I get spacers (assuming you didn't read my previous post) or are you wondering what a spacer is?

@melna8 Spacers are something that raise your car up. Like the opposite of lowering springs or coilovers. Ethan likes the raised up look

Thanks dude!
I'm rubbing like a ****, but now it's the tires contacting the fender. A quick roll should solve the problem.
