Now to learn manual, go to a local park or an empty parking lot with someone "cool" who knows stick to help teach you (my favorite aunt taught me when it was my turn). You'll get a very good idea of how to drive a stick after a good hour or so of safe learning.
Expect to have no problems shifting within a week.

I mean, i know how to drive manual, but everytime ive driven, it was with someone in the passenger seat their coaching me.
I got my first real life lesson tonight trying to merge onto a highway....off a slope

I went out with a friend and practiced some tonight. Just trying to get a feel of where the point the clutch and the gas catch. Ive gotten it pretty much, it sjust being able to naturally get it. ya know?
I have however, downshifted at the wrong times and watched my RPMS shoot up and my car make the worst screaming noise ive ever heard. Its cool though, im getting it
