First time track run....NOT SO GOOD
wow, get some mods then try it again. i still can't believe people think that reaction time affects your overall E.T. obviously these people have never been to the track and if they have gone to the track they were in the audience. but to stay on topic, work on your foot work as well as shifting. i know it's pretty basic stuff but practice makes perfect.
Post up what your 60' times are and your 1/8 mle times and speed.
Sadistic is right... On most tracks the RT does not affect your time it all. On heads-up style racing, the first to cross the line wins once the light turns green.
The missing 3rd gear is your biggest problem. Post up your 60' and we'll figure out what you're doing wrong and get that baby into the 15s.

I was making a turn and usually I put it in neutral, and then depending on the speed I put it in 2nd or 3rd.. but I was going kinda fast (maybe 20-25) so I had to put it in 3rd but I have NO idea how I put it in 1st right at the very turn.. omg.. I thought I was gonna die.. lol all I saw was my RPMs hit the red line.. and all the spinning of the tires.. o man... crazy stuff! But I'm not doing that again... I'm lucky enough I didn't do any damage to my transmission... or I hope I didn't

Yes reaction time makes big difference. Ill tell you this cuz most of you are probly street racer. Go to da track and drag race and you will see shy the reastion time makes difference. Just lok it this way 2 the same cars bone stock and drag racing. The one has reastion time of .5 and the other has 1.5 and hte one with the .5 shifts ____y, who is ing to win. Well I'd probly say the one with the better reaction time depending on how bad he shifts. but reaction time makes a big difference in drag racing.
And i;m glad to hear some adult that tried something like that with a stock tc.
EDIT: my ex boss drag races with a firevird and hes close to 50 and his reaction time is pretty good.

Your reaction time will tell you who ultimately wins, but it will not change your 1/4 mile time... You can have a 5 sec reation time or a .5 sec (.0 at some drag strips) and still have the same 1/4 time.
Its aight to have a crappy run at the track on your first time, just get out there and do it again. Dont worry about it. Have fun, run 17's or 15's no worries, as long as you are loving it.

try to feather your clutch when you launch it will help a bit . when i ran my car at the track i ran a 15.6 at 88 with a 2.2 60' stock. just practice and launching the car right will help you big time.
ScionGTR-If you read my post I said that reaction times can determine who wins and who losses but just letting people who where saying that he need to get a better reaction for better ET's that reaction time has nothing at all to do with the ET.
